Interesting - and it looks like with a bit of effort this can also be used on vehicles with individual coil packs (e.g. 2.2/2.6/3.2).

Has anyone tried this yet?

Hmmmm..not suitable for car with deeply recessed plugs.

You'd need 3 of them to fit on a 2.6 / 3.2 as well because the COP setup is a single rigid module for each bank that fits over 3 plugs.

Generally, where I've had coil packs fail, I've been able to detect a problem by measuring the resistances of the primary and secondary windings with an AVO.

Test plugs would be a better.....you still need these with tech 2 also....

nah, i was think purely checking if single cylinder misses detected.  Crude, but usually effective.  Obviously, dbw cars only though.

This must be the same data that the proper Tech 2 is using ?
what would it show if I disconnect aplug lead?
