Satelite Splitter
« on: 28 December 2009, 14:33:17 »

I have a twin core cable coming down from my sky dish for HD sky, is it possible/viable to add a splitter.  Reason beaing is that I want to add a twin channel freesat box.

I could have 2 more satelite cables fitted but ideally I want that into annother room for the same setup as above.

I know I can have an 8 way LNB fitted but when I do I need 4 feeds into the spare bedroom anyway.

I think you'll find most twin-channel freesat boxes will have a looping output if you want to run off one feed from the dish.  However, you will not get freedom to choose all channels on both feeds as has been mentioned in previous posts on here.

Get more LNB ports as the boxes may want different signals as they have to switch the LNB for polarity

Yep, A quattro - will feed an entire block of flats, but you need a bit of kit with it.  Google "Quattro LNB"
