Think about it this way.  The AA Jump Start all manner of vehicles from their big arsed trucks with special high-powered jump packs.

You'll be fine.

Ther reason I asked the question is because when the wife had an MX5 which needed a jump start I went to the counter with a set of jump leads but was told they were not the correct ones as the Mazda was  a 1.6 and being jump started ay a 2.5

The only thing you need to know about Jump Leads, is the bigger the better.  I've seen cheap thin Jump Leads melt the insulation where they have got very hot trying to jump a finicky motor.
