Cheaper 2 DIN DVD/Sat Nav
« on: 05 January 2010, 18:27:46 »

Why on earth are 2 din DVD Sat Nav so blinking expensive?
Kenwood £750
and about the same for Clarion. Cheap Chinese imports on the bay but no 2nd hand units.
I got not enough posts toseek one out on here, but someone must have one somewhere

If you look on sale sections of other owners clubs. Youd can often pick up a year or 2 old Alpine or Kenwood etc headunit for £3-400

Don't buy the cheap Chineese units from ebay etc, you will regret it I promise you!

Stick with Pioneer / Kenwood / Clarion for the double din units with sat nav. They are expensive but if you keep watching ebay for 2nd hand bargains one will turn up.....

Just don't bid against me!  ;D

Dont know if I would want 2nd hand unless I knew the person who was selling it.

They might be selling because of a fault or an intermitant fault.

I like the Pioneer and Kenwood top of the range units at nearly £1k each, 2nd hand I could be buying 300 quids worth of intermitant repairs after buying a 599 quid s/h head unit.

Not for me I am affraid.
