Nope!  Sex equality and all that.  Women get the money at 60, so men have to as well.  Same with the bus passes and free presciptions.

Yeah - I have.  I hate talking to these people.  But it won't be £400.  £200 for last year, OK, but last June the wife was 60.  She's now had a letter saying she's entitled to Winter Fuel Allowance, but will only get £125, as there's another person in the household who is getting the allowance (me, I presume). 

I haven't had any letter.  Neither of us have had any money.  As I said before - b*st*rds!!!

As it happens, I'm talking to them in a couple of weeks time about some help with another set of b*st*rds altogether    Just hope their advice turns out to be more valuable than last time, when they told me to contest my redundancy.  That cost me £650 in lawyer's fees to no effect whatsoever.
