was going to suggest a bike engine may be ideal for hill climb and certainly
the first clip white car appears to be a bike engine. Seqential six speed box would allow
cluchless changes and a fractional lift to allow the coggs to mesh, unless he has a quick shifter set up in which case just jab the gear lever.

With th extra low gearing he has on there there almost isnt time to change gear.

What box does happy feet have, a low geared auto by the sound of it ?

Nope. Bike engine of some description. I think I'm right in saying it's a Hayabusa taken out to just under the 1400cc class limit.

Clutch is hand operated (once to get it off the line and once to stop it at the finish!) :y. I think he's got some sort of flat shift system on it as well.

He developed the car himself after previously racing a Jedi. It has set FT for a bike engined car at several venues. Generally only beaten by those with seriously deep pockets , Judd engines, etc.

I remember one occasion when I was treated to the sound effects from his other car (road going bike engined Westfield) climbing the Rest and be Thankful pass from the cafe at the top. Sounded like an F1 race in progress. :y
