Good film. We won and became poor. Germans lost and had all their industry rebuilt ( by us) and became rich but you probably know that already.

It will be repeated, worth looking out for.

I just watched 1408 on sky movies. Was looking forward to a good horror story, especially as it was based on a short story by Stephen King.

Load of codswallop. I didn't sh!t my self once, and I dont usually last the whole afternoon without doing it. ;D

I have watched BB now well over 20 times (I have it on DVD, and CD for the soundtrack, along with the historical record of the event in the book The Narrow Margin)  and it will always be classed as my favourite film.  The music and well as the tremendous photography, with a real (Spanish) squadron of WW2 era Heinkel HE111 type bombers and ME109 type fighters, along with Spitfire's and Hurrican's make it a real classic.  At the time the world's 35th largest air force! :D :D

But it was in the West End my boyfriend took me to see it in 1969 when first released, and on wide screen it is extra special!! :-* :-* :-* 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

However if you want a full day by day account of the great battle, I would always thoroughly  recommend  The Battle Of Britain Then And Now 5th Edition Ramsey, G. (Editor) After The Battle (2006)

It was the 1st film my Dad ever took me to see at the pictures.  I was 8 years old sat in front of a massive screen for the 1st time ever and there were Spitfires shooting the Germans down.   Loved it.   :y :y :y
