In my experience of Online Forums, adding a free-for-all section just renders the 'General Discussion Area' derelict.

Unfortunately, (with everything in life) a minority spoil things for the majority.... and that works both ways.  You get the occasional person posting things which are WAY over the top, and flip-side, you get the occasional person who complains when they can see an arse crack.

A happy medium is, as always, impossible to find.

However, OOF seems to operate beautifully, and I'm a big fan of the old adage - If it aint broke, dont fix it.

OK .. as I was the first one to mention "porn" and that seems to have become the main arguing point ,... allow me to explain.....

At the moment no porn is on the site, I don't consider any of the pictures put up to be porn.

However the original post ... if anyone recalls ... was ..

Quote
is it possible for the admin too get there heads together and set up a new section ( with a very strong warning for those that may be offended not to enter ) so that members can post any " rather close too the bone "  jokes or pictures ?

it would stop any misunderstandings like earlier  Thumbs Up!
also the filter could be removed so that people could use whatever language they want without interference

which is.. by it's very nature .. a request for the present "rules" albeit unwritten, to be "broken", for want of a better word, quite heavily.

This I believe would end up with pictures/language that would appoach the "porn" description IMHO.

Hence my comment.

There was a rumour going around that if you suck up to site Admin, you get access to the "OOF Say & Do What You Like" section of the forum.

I must surely be knocking the door!  :-/

As said, I have no probs with Skrunties pics and like others, like the 'NWS' header...  Also, as has been seen prior to this wee spat, if there is a probs from any member where a post causes offence, then the original is glady pulled binned by Skruntie.

We know the boundaries, no need to test or expand them, IMO....   ;)   :y

Shall I start a thread tonight then.   ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif] :y

A nice selection of semi nude blokes please!! :y

i think we should vote on that one

You lot could always get your kit off, save Skruntie the trouble of finding pics!!! ;D ;D ;D

you show me yours and we will show you ours  :D ;D ;D

You first!! :P

OK, me when I was younger.
