Computer question
« on: 10 January 2010, 19:12:13 »

I have had the same computer for five years. Same crappy printer, same worn out keyboard, same mouse, same monitor. It has never been rebuilt or even repaired. It is in constant use and is abused by my son daily. I want a new one.

How long till it explodes? ;D

if a computer can stand 5 years, you can expect another 5 years without doubt ..

keep the chasis, monitor, keyboard and buy a new board , cpu , ram and DISK..

Buy your son a new computer for his birthday.  Install all your stuff on it before you give it to him.  Carry on using yours until it dies.  Then start using your son's computer until he's old enough to buy you a new one for your birthday.

There you go - two problems solved in one go - son's present, your computer. :) :) :)
