Petrol, diesel
« on: 11 January 2010, 11:59:47 »

I notice prices are creeping up at the pumps again.
What excuse this time, or have I missed something about a duty rise recently. Went up just after Xmas here 2p, yesterday another 1p on. Not seen much fuss or news posted about it, but then with all this snow :o

That amused me last year with our local antiquated garage. They had a cardboard sign out and just kept crossing out the lower price and writing in the higher one.

No excuse, its just the public have stopped moaning about petrol prices >:(

I put £5 in at a garage yesterday to get me home because it was 113.9 ltr, my wife went mad and said I embarrassed her but I can get it 109.9 ltr at home so why pay more.

I bet they're happy everything went metric, every penny on a liter must be nearly 5p per gallon  >:(

Texaco garage in our village went up about 5p as soon as it started snowing. Captive market. Most of it was probably burnt churning up the snow and getting nowhere too. ::)

Oh, and petrol will go down soon - Why?

Because on Saturday I put 70 litres in at 110.9 in order to give me some ballast on the snow. First time I've put any petrol in since August.

Unfortunately, you cant extract all oil from the reservoir because of surface tension and some other reasons, secondary production methods like CO2 injection or burning (you need to drill many other wells around the area) are extremely expensive so calculated reservoirs are not valid for comsumption..
