Unless I go for Freesat then I don't even get 4 perfect channels... Every time I cancel I get offered a deal to stay on ;) ;)

Which reminds me... I've been paying full price for my movies for a few months now... Time to cancel ::) ::)

@ LD,

If you really want the film that badly, then post back and I'll upload an ISO of the DVD for you.

We used to have a basic Sky package as we can't get terrestrial digital round here.  We cancelled the package after 2 years, which left us with the dish and the box.  We still get about 30 channels, but the selection isn't the same as Freesat or Freeview.

Recently, we've started getting messages appearing on some channels saying we need to do something or other to continue watching.  Can't seem to find anything on the Sky website which matches our circumstances, but the general idea appears to be that if I send them £20, things will get better.  Words like "blackmail" and "extortion" come to mind.

Can anyone explain this to me in words of one syllable?  I tried to record Gunfight at the OK Corral from Channel4 +1 yesterday and after 80 minutes or so, up pops this stupid message, and bang goes my recording. >:( >:( >:(
