fifth gear earlier

Who watched it,and thought the garage where you take your car to repair yourself was a brilliant idea.Apparently its a fully equipped garage with ramps and tools, and you just rent a spot by the hour, very handy if you havent got the facilities at home. :y

used to be a garage like that in Milton Keynes many years ago - now is part of marina/hotel - i used to use them for the hydraulic press- their only stipulation was only new parts for brakes etc.

I just looked at this and it has a reference to the 5th Gear programme dated 9th July 2009.  It also has Special Offers that expired Dec 31st 2009 so pretty up-to-date I would think.

Unless it never took off,and they called it a day,but i reckon its a cracking idea, the times i could have done with a four poster ramp. :-/

Think it was also mentioned in a thread a couple of months ago.

Anyone in the stocksbridge area outside sheffield there is a place that rents out it ramp and tools by the hour, also has engine/body jt/steam clean facilities if required.  Plus I believe they have a small lathe for odd jobs that has a rotary mover blade sharpening setup on it.

PM me if interested and I will find the details.  :y

Is 5th gear still on or is it repeats.

If still on then which day is it broadcast?
