Our major road, the A5(T); through this part of North Wales, has been completely closed (at short notice) for critical repairs because a river has undermined the road`s path, requiring realigning the road and removal of a several thousand-tonne rock face.....
The signed-diversion is 20 miles (or so) via 'A' roads....leaving teenie unclassified lanes for locals to get about with only 7+ miles of daily inconvenience for the forthcoming couple of months: there`s a 7.5T. MGW weight restriction on the
'local access only' signposted diversion.....but, guess what?
Yes, day and night there`s been a steady stream of massive articulated trucks, vans and cars using it.....the 'road' (truthfully, little more than a thinly-surfaced track) has collapsed into muddy ruts and now resembles a scene from the Somme.

Not sure if it`s just motorist`s selfishness or a belief in the god like powers of sat-nav.? :-/
Just heard there`s an HGV nearly on it`s side in the lane; the edge of the road has finally given way.....it`s our 'one way in and out': we`re cut off now!
