Thanks people. Its getting easier and easier as the days go on. SWMBO is still smoking which makes it a little harder but she is being really good and not smoking while I am around! :y

Same here. There's been a pack of hers sitting on the end of the workbench in my garage ever since. It makes it no harder, IMHO, so don't be tempted to use it as an excuse to start again. :y

I'm definitely not going to do that. I don't want to start again. I feel loads better already. Just need to lose some weight now and I might be able to play some football again!  :y

Giving up smoking and trying to lose weight at the same time is inadvisable, unless you are on medication or otherwise stressproof.  It's probably impossible, anyway.

Giving up smoking very often leads to weight gain, as nicotine tends to suppress appetite.  Beat the smoking craving first, then work out a diet and exercise regime when you are certain there's no longer any temptation to smoke.

Wise words J. I know it would be difficult to do both at the same time.

For the time being I am just going to eat more sensibly but not deprive myself of anything if i really want it. I also need to start exercising :y

Quite a few kids at school smoked and thought that the non smokers working out how many Lambourghinis you could buy were sad - and I still don't have a Lambourghini.

Seems like a local school near us used to have a childrens smoking room, now gone as under new management, we were quite shocked. I would have liked one at school - one simple reason - a very good excuse to test the fire extinguishers on the smoking kids ;D ;D ;D ;D

My dad has done it at work - they had a no smoking policy in their workshop (decided by all the mechanics - none smoked) quite blast with a  CO2 extinguiser dealt with them!

I would think that smoking in a Westfield is pretty easy.I used to smoke while riding a motorbike wearing a full face helmet. Open the visor a bit and tuck in behind the screen so the wind blast didnt blow the ciggy away. ::) :-[
