National debt
« on: 26 January 2010, 14:22:54 »

The national debt of this country stands at a shocking level, £700 Billion or there abouts. America's, at $1.5 Trillion, is equally appalling.

So imagine my shock when I read this:

Jan. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Japan’s national debt is set to rise to 973 trillion yen ($10.8 trillion) by the end of fiscal 2010, according to the Finance Ministry. :o :o :o :o

Japan has always had big issues with national debt  :( Did'nt they almost go to the wall fairly recently?  :-/

Considering we are not half the size of the US, out debt is just insane  >:(

It's a hell of a lot more than that, once you convert our 750 billion pounds into dollars.
