Ive got it....

The engine was cut out of your green saloon, the lifting bracket was bent when the DHL van drove across the bonnet.
The camcover threads were stripped by the torque from the vans rear wheels.

Who said it was a garage.....

Wasn't a dancing chicken, was it?  :-X

I was under the impression that this (ex)member knew everything there was to know about omegas. Used to knock them out like a production line.

If that was the case it would have been from a white car and would now have  a 3.0 in it

Silly me, Im getting mixed up, the green one tried to ingest a Micra.

It cant have been Tunnie, he isnt strong enough to strip a M6 thread, even in aluminium.

Well thankfully I have never owned a 2.6 omega  :D

In fact, I don´t recall any posts about anyone doing a 2.6 engine change¿

You sure you're in Spain and not down under? Or have they given you one of those freaky keyboards?

I am struggling to remember any 2.6 engine surgery too, apart from Jay W's holeinblock project, which I think has been eliminated.  ;)
