"The scientist behind the bogus claim in a Nobel Prize-winning UN report that Himalayan glaciers will have melted by 2035 last night admitted it was included purely to put political pressure on world leaders.
Dr Murari Lal also said he was well aware the statement, in the 2007 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), did not rest on peer-reviewed scientific research.

Rats and sinking ships, methinks.
This is going too fast. As much as I would like to see an end to the Global Warming Disaster bandwagon, I fear that once the media (be they mainstream or Macedonian) take up the challenge, we'll get too much of a swing in the opposite direction.
While I'm sceptical about the end of civilisation as we know it through GW/CC and irresponsible use of fossil fuels, there are plenty of other good reasons for a bit of restraint. Some are even environmental.
It was not Macedonian media as such, merely MINA (the news agency) reporting facts about the BBC Trust taking action.
As far as going too fast is concerned, I feel I should point out that the sceptics are, by and large, sensible folks who are concerned that the science is being, or has been, distorted to make a political point. They, (well, certainly the ones I know) want the debate to move onto things like protecting the rain forests, protecting habitats, reducing disease etc. When the CO2 scam is finally revealed, I have no doubt that the David Bellamy's of this world will be re-instated and we can look after our planet in a sensible, compassionate and targeted way. We've just got to get rid of this daft guilt-driven policy which is actually harming the environment (e.g. the amount of forest being cleared for biofuels, etc.).
