Samsung H1
« on: 26 January 2010, 21:58:19 »

I finally got one at a reasonable price and will be delivered tomorrow by 1pm, took me ages and I had to go £60 more than I wanted to pay, but was still about £70 less than others I bid on, and about £180 cheaper than in the Vodafone shop.

The vendor gave you £180 as well as the handset?

Aye its a new phone from Vodafone, running the new LiMo OS. The App selection is going to be non existent really, also Apple have the touch screen interface nailed, very few handsets come close. Sadly the H1 with LiMo is bit flaky, and not great to use. I can think of much better phones personally, but good luck with it  :y

I never asked for your opinions,. or did I ask for you to try and make it look as if I had purchased a box of bombs, but I got them anyways.
It is what my son wanted and he always gets what he wants.

If you weren't wanting opinions, then why make the original post?

Don't mistake the above for the way it reads (thats the limitations of text based communication), but if you make a post as you did above then don't be surprised when others have something to say.....and don't be surprised if some of those views aren't the same as yours (that's the law of averages).

I have a mate who has the new Apple and an LG 900 or 990 whatever it is.

Allways has the LG on him, never uses the Apple.

I posted to let peeps know that I have found one and it is on it's way, as I also posted a few weeks ago that I was looking one.
The way I read the posting fro Tunnie was making it look as I had bought a pile of crap and the phone is rubbish. It may well be rubbish, but it is what my son wanted. I did not ask for it to be compared with the very superior iPhone. I know the iPhone is better, but I could not afford such a phone.

Depends what your used to, iPhone users are mainly ex-smart phone users. Ones that had PDA's or the old beasty Symbian S60, if your used to 'phone-phones' prob would prefer the LG.

I have a HTC Magic running Android, but going to get the next gen iPhone i think, Android is being ignored sadly in apps, iPhone has much more, easily crackable too now.

Had Windows Mobile before, that was great to use, but a bit crash happy, and really struggled on the touch interface. You need a stylus (something Google & apple avoided like the plague to separate themselves from Microsoft)
