Always found it funny -  and former colleagues still do - when the weekend drunks on the local High Street attempt to whistle/sing the Z cars theme in an attempt to bait Plod....

The series ended in 1978, probably when their parents were thinking of leaving school!   ;D

 ;D ;D ;D  Whenever uniforms were at a scene giving us cover the shout was invariably "go on ya black enamelled bastards ye"

Where that came from I do not know but it seemed to have been handed down through the generations.

The 'Z'Cars theme also made more than a few appearances.
