ISP issues, 24 hours with out the net and you lot.

Dunno if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but thankyou for your concerns.

Last refresh on the OOF was 8pm, was watching TV did a Google search for something later, the writing came on screen, no pics, checked the OOF etc.

Rebooted and reset my modem a few times, user name and password reset a few times.  DSL light on every time and every thing indicated modem was ok.  Rang plus net to see if there ware any issues, check my username  (as the extention on the login detail was changed a while back)

Support said there was no issues there and then got me to do a ping test and it failed so they told me the PC and modem were not comunicating, possibly a faulty lan cable, interesting point as I did trap the cable earlier that day, but as I pointed out to them, how come I could log into the Modem/router.?

Then access to the modem died so I went to bed to save getting wound up.  Spent some time today checking the lead today, changed it, reset, unplugged evertyhing, did it all a few times.  Nowt at all.

Left it all switched on and was just tidying files and folders etc, when all of a sudden yahoo messenger went live.  Living in hope I tried various web pages, still no joy.

Rang plus net and they now have a massage saying there was web access problems but they were now fixed, if problem persists, unplug modem for 15 mins and then reboot etc.

All now is fine.

Why didnt they listen to me last night when I told them they were at fault.   ::)  Would have saved me a load of hassle today thinking the problem was at my side of the net.  :-/

We've also had connection problems all afternoon and it's still running very slow here tonight.
