E-on Electric charges.

Anyone know what the usage (Units) allowace is before it Primary units to normal units.

Nearly pooped myself when I worked out my usage at 21.57p a uni, came to over £600 for 7 months.

£270 if I check it by the 9.51p charge.

.......it is usually 1000 per year.
.......so 1000 divided by 365.....gives you 2.739.
........so each day the first 2.739units are charged at the highest cost.......in your case 21.57p......then at 9.51p...... :y :y.

Thats not going to be an issue based on whats been used in 7 months.


I asked for seperate accounts, but both are online under the same log in, will I still qualifay for the dual fuel discount?

i never get that involved to understand how they split the price for when and where but i think the last time i spoke to my supplier it was for instance...the first 1000 units @18.7 pence then after that 10.9 per unit(not exact figures just as an example)but then ive heard people say they pay different prices for different times of the day,im with brit gas online click 6 and just got mi quarterly bill and both gas+leccy are in credit even after crimbo lights and heating on more plus my gas bill is goin down £12 a month

Just realised my electric is cheaper than yours, yours only becomes cheaper with the discounts, thought it may have been cheaper on a package to start with.

Martins Money explained a while back on tv that the way they estimate your bills works to thier advantage, if they give you an allowance by chatging high for so many then lower for the rest.  You have to be carefull how these are calculated, as they try to keep you paying for the high cost ones each time

I have had battles with Eon from day one.

1st there was a debt of £1500 estimated/ that accrued from the last owner, for this reason they would not bill be even with an account for what I was using,

3 requests for the meters to be checked fell on deaf ears as they had not read/checked the meter themselves in 3 years.

Then they just snail mailed me a bill for £13 no explanation of what gas and electric usage was.

Now we are up to date with readings, they have offered me any payment/plan/option/time/ammount I want to clear the current bills because of all the messing about.

I want to pay monthly and hate owing money, so will split the attears by 10 or 12 payments  and pay a fixed DD for the ammount I use based on the last 7 months.  But obviously want the best cost/price plan.
