A thank you...
« on: 30 March 2007, 20:41:36 »

... last night, I blew off some steam about something (which is not to be raised again)..

I just wanted to say a big thanks to the huge amounts of people who sent me supportive PMs, emails and texts as a result this... I was overwhelmed by the anount of people who got in touch.. sorry if I've not replied personally to everyone... there was a lot to work through!

Don't worry.. for those that deseve it ( ;) ) I won't ever have any problems helping you out.

No fear of me going anywhere anyway.. apart from maybe to get my project Elite sorted out... and to have a nose at Jaime's project car!  :y

Thanks again
James

you are like me mate, i popped a gearbox off a neighbours polo, changed the clutch plate and replaced it(while getting soaked through) to get it up and running for him to get to a job interview the next day.
we had agreed a v.cheap price (£50- i even bought the newish plate from a scrappy) and on the completion i got a fiver.
3 years later i met him in the bookies flashing his winnings about, of which i relieved him of £45 of it!!
sometimes i feel its of no benefit to have gained any knowledge to repair/achieve things, cos most people just sponge the assistance off of others for "a pint" or literally the value of one!!
do feel free to rant away m8- !!! ;)

I'm just sorry i wasn't around to offer support at the time.... having just read your rant.....     mate, the guy's obviously a idiot of the first order.....   (i mean the snotty idiot, not LB66....  who was  obviously just having a larf... at a coincidental moment... )

not even paying for your fuel?????  AND insulting you??

I'd kneecap the bugger.

you're ALWAYS welcome to work on MY vehicles James...   whether they need it or not....

indeed, you're always welcome here whether there's any vehicles to be worked on or not...  a meal and a beer just for social purposes is always available mate.

best regards,

Max

We still need to to the cambelt on the Sintra....

mate I have a LONG list of "things i need to do" on both Meega and Sintra

Just been down to Bellingers with Jaimes TC card,  and got rear shocks, brake pads all round, wear sensors and a load of service kit for the Omega......  new HB cable next week.  and I think I should get the Radiator swapped over for my spare one...

Garage going to do the MOT on Wednesday , and we'll see what else it needs then.....

and sadly it's still leaking, Jaime spotted dampness on the bellhousing last night.,.... it's not dripping out fast enough for me to spot it....

i'm hoping it's just on one of the pipes connected to the HBV.

I also need to buy the rear plastic connection assembly of the Plenum breather pipe assembly off your old breaker V6. if it's still available.,..

Sintra requires Cambelt, full , all fluids and filters, Service, New front discs and pads, new front nearside caliper, new Front Shocks( or possibly replace ALL springs and Shocks....  )

and secondary air sorting....  oh...and quite probably a heap of other stuff....

if you ever get bored of doing your project mate     ;)
