.... how about an OOF mascot to do some travelling with you?

Maybe a stuffed animal of some type wearing an OOF t-shirt and getting it's pic taken with various OOFer's on their travels? Would make an interesting gallery thread.

my boss does that with some little teddies and company logo jumpers on em and shes got pictures of em all over the world  :y

Sad git that I am, I already indulge in a pastime that allows online tracking of items 'let loose' into the big wide world - www.geocaching.com .  I know that there are a few others on here that also enjoy the pastime.

Has the potential for a teddy bear/stuffed toy/model car/whatever to be passed around and a happy snap taken at a fine local (to the recipient) landmark as well as getting a handle on where folks on the forum actually are.

Like the concept.....   :y

We would pay the taxi fare to the airport then watch for the sparks in the sky.....   :P   ;D   :y

My wife's school does this .... a small teddy and you take photo's all around the trip... when you come back you tell the kids all about it ...

just 3 from our Egypt trip to give the idea ....

Okayyyy..  kinda thinking out loud here....

Another idea for the pot and feel free to disagree or whatever...  My thoughts, not those of OOF admin or mod team as charity type things have previously frowned upon as it introduces a flaw in that - where is the line drawn.....

How about a 'Help for Heroes' bear progress across the country/OOF wonderland?  Cash details to be discussed/considered?

As said, moneys and charity procurement been discussed and binned previously and I am solely flying this idea as an individual, not as an admin so do not be surprised if it ends up dead in the water....

Nice idea Broocie, but can see it being hard to manage. At school we do a collection with all 400 kids doing shoe boxes for the soldiers and soldieresses for Help the Heroes.

Yup, realise that.  simply kiting an idea and looking for whatever response or suggestions evolve. 

In its basic idea, as in interesting shots for the forum (calender 2011??), I have absolutely no probs whatsoever and would gladly join in.  Just looking to explore whatever other concepts that affect us all without opening money raising floodgates....   ;)

Funny you should say that, I was just thinking for the next calendar, having pics of members cars with a kind of 'where's wally' mascot theme ;D
