Ebay message hit home.
« on: 09 February 2010, 17:23:34 »

Just had a message from a seller regarding a 45rpm single for the jukebox. He's apologized for the delay & is trying to catch up on his sold items the delay being his mother has just died. My parentage are getting on a bit now,70 & 80 & i adore them both so god knows how the poor bloke is feeling.
Told him to take all the time he needs & sent sympathies.

I remember this mate. You came to mind when i started this thread but i had to post it regardless. I know i've got it all to come soon & i'll be a mess when it happens but what struck me was an apology over a £2 item, i guess he's just trying to get on & cope as best he can. My Mum's the best girl in the world so my heart goes out to you both. Guy.

Having recently lost my Dad, my Nan and my Great Aunty Mill, I can vouch for the advice given.

Take every chance you can to say hi. Sometimes you can't actually tell people you love them but you can always show it. Sometimes just by turning up...

Right on!  It's too late when it's too late...
My wife made up with her mum in July 2009 after a 2 year stand off, sadly Ivy died at the end of December, my wife still feels guilty, but, she's glad she had the time with her that she did.....    My brother in law had a shock, he'd been away from the family for 6 years, he found out by the announcment in the paper....  :-X
