Got back into playing a new game but seem to have a problem.

If I click to upgrade Townhall I have a stats panel and then if I click on production and go to food  (Tab) all the writing in all boxes is black or green apart from troops upkeep (Under food) which is -23000

Where am I going wrong.  My food growth is 20,000+ in black on the left side of the right hand stats panel, and 6300 in green on the right. plenty of iron and stone, low on Food production is 29500.

Is it as simple as increasing the farms level, or do I need more workers.

Whats your population and is it in the green? (or if red then you are short of workers)

It sounds like you simply have more mouths to feed than you have farms to do it.

For info, I have 15 lv9 farms and still minus 1M food per hour....

What are your coords, I can then send the boys round to clear you out

All I have done so far is build, I aint got a clue how to start plundering .fighting.  :-[

Get a Lv70+ attack hero plus 600 Ballista and 600 transport.....then raid lv5 npcs for 3M food

Get rid of your farms and build iron mines and sawmills then sell the produce at market and buy food. Once you have your research high enough you could also get 500 ballistas and 500 transporters and attack level 5 npc's which will bring in 3mil food each attack plus other goodies. If you want to keep your farms you need to attack level 9 or 10 lakes which will increase your farming output by 30 to 35% each lake you have, the only problem with that is, if you have a large army and you get into a war, if your attacker is savy enough they will attack your lakes starving your army, I found out this one the hard way ::)

Dont have one, dont know how to do that either, just making a hash up as I stumble along.  :-[
