When I started playing I was following the reward panel and what it suggested doing............I get/got bored.

On Level 3 for both of them.  Best I can recruit is a level 8.

And a Lv1 of each will get you started.

Dont bother about warehouses (1 max and increasing size is NOT a priority). Beacon tower is low priority so only do these 2 once everything else is built.

1 of every other inner city item and fill the remaining squares with barracks. You want about 11-12 cottages tops.

On Level 3 for both of them.  Best I can recruit is a level 8. 

Forget the level.....look for the 1 high attack, 1 high politics and 1 high intell.

The higher the better.

As a rule of thumb, subtract the level from the highest attribute....you should be aiming for a figure of 50-60 when doing this.

e.g.

Lv5 - 67 Attack, 12 Politics, 20 Intell would be a good attack hero and level up well with use.

It is a bit like farming, you attack other people and steal their resources to keep your army going
