CCTC PTZ Camera's

http://shop.ebay.co.uk/?_from=R40&_trksid=m38&_nkw=270+x+Zoom

Been looking for camera's with a high spec zoom and idealy to be fitted outdoors.

I was hoping to find a black one as I think it would look nicer.  I have missed so much wildlife in my back garden that I think the only way to benifit is from CCTV, what other equipment besides cables and a joystick unit would I need to set this up.

Am also looking for the same sort of thing but ceiling mounted to fit under a door canopy as this would be a better outdoor setup to keep the rain off the unit.

Yes I am aware of neighbers privacy, if Iwere to fit it above window height I would fit a panel to thier side so to make it obviouse they cant be seen, but TBH I am thinking of fitting it 3 feet off the ground behind the fence as I have 2 adult peacocks come to my garden most days, they sit on the fence looking for food, and thier babies are starting to follow now.

It would be great to watch them from the living room whilst they are on the back

I would rather deal with UK companies or sellers, but for that static 270 Zoom camera I might rink buying that from abroad depending on what else I might need.

Any links, help or advice would be very much appreciated.

TIA.  :y

Mr S, PTZ's are really expensive unless you can get one 2nd hand. If you use the i-Code software you won't need a joystick either as the software has a PTZ controller built in and sends the signal up the coax. Just make sure the PSU has the correct mA rating as they can be funny if under or over powered ;) :y

I will recommend a card with an audio property ( I recently bought a new one with 4 channel sound)

and also you will need a really sensitive microphone

plus to amplify the sounds you will need a simple mixer
 I bought this http://www.behringer.de/EN/Products/802.aspx

when you have both sound and video its more meaningful, and I have a surprise for some neighbours [smiley=evil.gif]
