Bit of a stupid rule when petrol is a highly flammable liquid & can give off a highly explosive vapour ::)

Petrol tanks aren't pressurised though Pete. Besides it's hard to ignite petrol fumes with a spark where as gas will.

It's simply because they never thought to get 'elf and safety to risk assess it. Plenty of caravans must go through carrying LPG.

Take a ferry and enjoy the view, fresh sea air, actually getting there when the tunnel goes pear shaped, etc.

 ;)

That's why when I was on the freight I'd do Felixstowe to the Hoek, enough time for breakfast and an hour nap ;)

I've had one trip away ruined by the tunnel, and the staff couldn't have been more disinterested, so I won't be using it again. >:(

Being the main driver, I prefer to have a rest and a stretch on the ferry :y :y

LPG cars are banned from the Tunnel for the Elf & Safety reasons above :( :( But caravans/motorhomes are allowed on with portable gas cylinders ::) ::)

I like the tunnel, but gone very expensive in last year or so.

No LPG cars allowed.
