Is this really the way of punishing someone ?

No. A civilised society should punish wrongdoers in a civilised way - not by reverting to the brutish behaviour of the wrongdoer. And to support the idea that society should leave it up to the other prisoners to exact an "unofficial" punishment - as inhuman as the wrongdoer's crime - is abdicating responsibility.

He should be punished by any one that can get there hands on him our justice system doesnt allow for us to make that sick twisted bastard suffer. These people should be put in a new prison called hell on earth and have a horrific time for the rest of there days. I wouldnt like to see the death penalty bought back instead change the system so these people get what they deserve. And all the do gooders should spend a bit of time with the families of the people that these monsters abused then if they still feel the same way the families will be close enough to give them a kicking or abuse them in the same way these monsters did.

Think you'll find yourself in a very small minority there Kevin. He wouldn't be subjected to this kind of punishment if I had my way, because he would have been hanged already.

I have never been afraid to be in a minority!

For those that either haven't read my OP, or couldn't be bothered to think about what I'd actually written before stereotyping my response - you will note that I answered Ken T's question of "is this really the way of punishing someone" - I continue to say no to this.

You will also note that I did say wrongdoers should be punished - and I agree with the earlier post that the criminal justice system lets us down here. There has to be a better way of punishing wrongdoers than locking them up away out of sight, turning a blind eye to what might happen - but being afraid as a society to actually exact proper punishment ourselves.

sadly, the world is not a civilised place and when you treat scum like him with any respect then it just gets thrown back in your face.
 there is no capital punishment in this country anymore so my first choice of just putting the piece of sh*t down goes out of the window
in my book, scum like him deserve all the pain they get and if i ever have the chance to meet the person who did this too him, i would gladly buy the man a beer 

at the end of the day, it is against all human instinct to do what he did so why should he be considered human ?

I was kind of rushed when I posted this originally.

My feelings are we should not have to rely on prisoners to do our dirty work for us. People who do this, esp to kids, have signed themselves out of the human race. They deserve no compassion or "geneva convention" treatment. They should be dealt with accordingly. If they are unlikely to ever be safe to release or their crime shows a complete disrespect for other humans, why waste food ?. End it now.
