yeah and the ludicrous UKIP's the answer?  ;D ;D ;D

besides the defence budget is around £38bn per year so yes, £60m wouldn't make a dent  :y

put it another way the afghan war alone has cost every man, woman and child in the UK around £200 each so far, you think £201 would make a difference  :o

"While "Our Boys" risk their lives in Afghanistan, therefore, MoD bureaucrats, safe in their heated offices, will be creaming off money from front line-equipment to keep themselves warm – their contribution to saving the planet...."

true, nothing will really change there, though there isn't such a thing as a perfect government - our one is a million times less corrupt than most of them - when you consider the madcap vacuuous ramblings of a desperate Public Schoolboy David Cameron and remember the tyrannical Maggie Thatcher voting Labour is still the most sensible option, despite their shortcomings I am a Trade Union member and a Socialist and will NEVER vote for the Tory Toffs  - they want to drag us back into the 19th century and lose all our "taken-for-granted-by-some" benefits our fathers fought for, the NHS, holidays, sick pay..it seems when somebody buys their own house or work self employed they think its clever to vote for these fossils.. >:(

sorry for ranting, but there 's an election coming!  ;D

You do not specify the reason why you consider UKIP to be "ludicrous".

Secondly, whether or not $60m would make a dent in the defence budget is red herring. It would pay for three brand-new secondary schools.

But really, what complete idiot does it take to pay out £60m overseas for the right to have heating in government buildings?

And remember it's OUR money he's being so profligate with.

I used to be a trade unionist and Socialist. I wouldnt vote Tory either. They are far too left wing for me these days. I have developed a sense of logic over the years you see. ;) ;D
Btw, Nu Liebore have no interest in what we used to call the working class, there arent enough of us left to swing an election. They are much more interested in the votes of the non working class - theres millions of them. ;)
