Q Car shock.
« on: 16 February 2010, 23:08:25 »

Driving down the A177 at lunch time, steady away and I like to think I am aware of what is behind me ::)
Approaching a roundabout, glance in mirror, grill full of blue lights, I have no Idea where he came from, moved over, he hit the noise and was off down the A689 towards the A1M.
Where the heck he came from I have no idea, car was black, but a Skoda!!!......it flew....... :D :D :D

I was passenger in a traffic car the other weekend... it was certainly a heart pumping experience.... but nonetheless, I had a total feeling he was "in control" and felt no panic at all  :y

seen few coopers in those Skoda RS Turbo things, they do shift!

On the subject of driving fast, why is most people cannot drive around a corner? M40 other day, cruise set at 80, someone came flying past me doing 100+ then braked heavily in front of me for the Brackley M40 slip road, then braked again. I did not bother turning the cruise off, go up the slip road at a steady 80, fly past the clown who was now doing 50, no balls to go fast around the corner.

Soon as the road was straight, off he went again  ::)

Probably in some over-assisted FWD pile of cack that doesn't give any clues until it's going backwards? Or just a hopeless driver?

Alot of the police drivers I see out and about (I work for London Ambulance) often drive far too fast in my opinion.  Especially the unmarked cars, a nice dark colour with some LEDs in the grill and perhaps a light on the roof, not very visible...   :D

Some people don't have the skill to drive fast, it's all about smoothness, especially on bends, if you load the suspension up correctly, you wont have a problem, have faith in your tyres and confidence in your driving skills
