tescos planning permission
« on: 17 February 2010, 14:52:24 »

it has been going on for 10 years, they have been turned down 4 times in court, obviously someone has there hand in the till and come out trumps for it to be given the go ahead. nobody wants the store round here because it will kill the town and will bring traffic to a complete standstill  now. more corrupt officials in office   >:( >:(

Tesco ALWAYS win.
We did not want the tesco extra we got here in Merthyr, but we ended up with it, and traffic is a nightmare, especially friday around 4pm.
Tesco Aberdare is an even bigger nightmare, they did not apply or tender for the ground, it was won by The Co-operativ, Yet Tesco faxed an offer in 15 minutes AFTER the closing time and guess what..... THEY WON IT.

Tesco are allowed to build anywhere they please.
Objections from the public and planning regulations make little or no difference to Tesco.
The same rules do not apply to you and I. :( :( :-* :-*

Yep. They run the fskng country. Same happened in our village. Tried to take over shop with post office. Promised to retain post office. Got planning permission. Post office binned. Replaced with a freezer full of sh1te ready meals. >:(

Problem is, they can afford to sit on property for as long as it takes to get their way, knowing that at least it's keeping the competition out. Eventually someone will come along who will accept their bungs.

As i posted in another thread few weeks ago, we have 3 tesco stores in a town of 50,000. Last one went up a year ago.....right next to a new housing development with 2000 homes. >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

About 4yrs ago there was a Tesco superstore put up in Atherton town, Nr Derby.
Nobody wanted it there in the first place, they either bulled or bribed homeowners to get out, then tore a street and a half down.

And now...... and this is only the tip of the iceberg !.

There's loads of Anti-Social Behaviour there with kids driving their pimped up crapboxes like there on a formula 1 race track in the car park, others young nobheads have thrown bricks, etc at homes opposite where the shop is, their are kids hanging about in general involved in underage drinking, and what are Tesco's doing about it - Nothing, not interested in what resident's are having to put up with.

And there is evidence now starting to gather quite a pace that a few of the town councilors did in fact take 'back-handers', and one or two of the Councilors have either retired early or moved post !!.

Though like everyone else has already said (and it's not just Tesco doing this to), they buy up land and no-one stands up to them, and never will a Tesco planning application be refused full stop.
