ive played golf in the rain and that is supposed to be the worse place you can be when a thunder storm comes. but you never think it would happen to you. or will it  ;D ;D ;D

Not the best place to be in a storm. Highest point around swinging a metal golf club( lightening conductor) around  :o

I know its not quite the same and its really got nothing to do with power from above, but the first pic made me think of the morning Buncefield in Hemel went up with just a small bang.

I was driving on an open road between 2 fields onces and a lighting strike struck a tree about 40ft from the road.  Nearly pooped my pants, was bloody scary.

Allways move my arms off the door tops now when there is lightning in the air.
