Its a PC question,

Hi everyone,I need to know is it possible to run 2 pcs at the same time from 1 bt line.

you want to share your internet? of course!

What do you have in place at the moment, ADSL modem or router connected to your PC?

You could run (in theory) an unlimited amount of PC's from a single connection.

Get an ASDL router, plug that in and set it up, hook both PC's to it, either via Ethernet or WiFi, job done!

As Tunnie suggests, a router is the best way to achieve that.  There are other options with sharing the USB modem, but its always messy...


If you go with a router, each PC will need a Network Card or a WiFi adapter

Read up on WPA2 wireless encription if you do go for wireless otherwise you may end up sharing the connection with more than 2 PC's.

On our last visit to SWMBOS sister she remarked that her internet connection seemed very slow. After a bit of digging around in the settings on her PC's and wireless router we discovered that she had been connecting to her neighbours wireless connection.  ::)

Been there, done that. Wondered why I had an internet connection, yet hadn't entered a passphrase and couldn't access my other machines.

If he insists on running no security whatever.... ::)
