Very interesting, but how/why where these invaders able to cross the north sea, but not able to enter Wales ?

Probably the same problems the Russians had in Afghanistan. Once into the mountains, they're chasing shadows.

A good point, but surely these people would have been quite good at mountains having had to deal with Fjords etc.

By the way I am not trying to cause trouble, I have Welsh family on my mothers side, and judging by my surname I would think my fathers family came from Wales a few generations ago.
