Walkers Marmite or Worcester Sauce.

Saying that, I do miss Chipmunk Oxo flavour - anyone remember these?

Afon Taf - is this the school whose 'little darlins' we transport on our trains from Merthyr Vale?

Yes, it is, all off at TROEDYRHIW
The school that was built after the ABERFAN disaster.
And they are darlings believe me.

I do like Salt n' Shake. Reminds me of the old days, when they're used to a little gab of salt inside. Each bag was closed by twisting the paper. I wonder of that was done by machine or whether someone had the most boring job in the world?  ;)

Sometimes, if you were lucky, you'd find two bags of salt. Yipee!  :y :y

Caution: This story relates to the old days, before salt was considered a life-threatening evil substance, enforced on us by a horrid capitalist food industry.

Finishing trip on my (overtime) shift this evening was the 1938 ex-Merthyr.

Three little darlins were, however, suitably outsmarted when they tried to outsmart a rather smarter traincrew into a free ride from Pentrebach to Troedyrhiw.

Great when the plan comes together!

Quavers now. Golden wonder salt & vinegar when i was a nipper & the packs were semi transparent before Walkers took top spot.
When i lived in Lewes E. SX. The corner shop sold big bags of Chilli & Lemon, same size & texture as doritoes in a red/yellow black bag. Never seen them since but gorgeous.

If they count, mini cheddars & does anyone remember Frazzles? Not the budget rip offs they try to foist on us today but the real ones. MMMMMMMMMMMMM! 8-)
