I seem to be doing everything wrong, but...
« on: 22 February 2010, 18:31:06 »

my PC works fine.

I'm using IE8 on Windows XP Pro SP3, whereas I should be using Firefox on Windows 7.

I haven't rebuilt the system since I first installed it, and I must say it's not quite as fast as it was.

I've got the full Norton Internet Security suite running and looking after my logins.  Although everyone says it's rubbish, I have never had anything nasty occur on this or any other of the networked machines running it (not counting stupid user errors from people who should have more sense but never listen to what they're told).

I use RealPlayer to download stuff from YouTube.

I do a backup about once a year if I remember.

I download stuff from the internet and install it to see if it's any good.

How do you use realplayer & youtube together? With my old tower anything i watched on youtube gave me the option to add to realplayer with one click. i've installed real player on the new tower but can't connect the two.
Youtube favourites are'nt much use alone as you they delete stuff as they deem fit sometimes weeks later. At least with realplayer i can keep such in my documents. I've asked on here before but to na avail. I'd love to be able to do this again. Guy. :(

If I'm quick, I might get an answer in before the noise starts.

I don't think you actually have to do anything - just install it and when you run any FlashPlayer video, up pops a little box which asks if you want to download the video.  If it doesn't go, have a look at the preferences menu on the Player.  Right at the bottom of the right hand menu tree is a "Download and Recording" option.  Select that and it gives you a on/off option and allows you to choose where to store the files.
