It's a bloody shame his whole Party isn't more credible, this country is crying out for PROPER leadership. :(

I think UKIP's credible with regard to policies, but they do lack funding and in politics these days, that is a major problem. That said, my trips around the blogs lead me to believe they will do very well at the election.

..and remember that the leader of UKIP is Lord Pearson who, by all accounts, is a sincere and likable man. :y

Ex-leader of UKIP. He gave up the leadership specifically to fight the seat of the Speaker John Bercow in the upcoming General Election. Although the new leader is Lord Pearson, Nigel Farage is very articulate and still regularly speaks for the party.  :y

Hmm. Maybe you should read this and try to figure out why Farage was bumped off the programme.

There's a lot more to this Corus closure than meets the eye.

"Heroic, monotesticular UKIP MEP Nigel Farage was bumped off the BBC Question Time panel at the last minute last week. Shame. That particular edition was broadcast from Middlesbrough and it would have been fascinating to hear the audience’s response to the choice things he was planning to say about the closure of their local steelworks."

Sorry guys.....but in my view he is just another "Little Englander"......fine if we still lived in 1957.....but his party is too insular and introspective for 2010...
.....probably a better bet than the Tories though... :y :y

Yes, far better to live under a huge undemocratic and excessively bureaucratic, superstate than desire local democracy and the inalienable right to decide our own future.

 ::) ::)

What I fail to understand is how those on the Left always go on about democracy, yet willingly allow, indeed encourage, democracy to be eroded.
