I figured it was ok to say it now that he is home and ok. It was my surgeon that made a mistake nothing to do with the op itself (probably should have worded that better) :D :D :D

It's okay fellas - the pitfalls of this particular operation were explained by the surgeon a few months ago. I knew the risks involved - damn frightening when you think about it, mind you.
I do sympathise with you Scottie mate.
