Providing it's post Sept 2001 all petrol Omega's are the same tax price whether that's a 2.2, 2.6 or 3.2, unless it runs on LPG which I believe makes it £15 cheaper.

Pre March 2001 all engines get the fixed rate as its above 1.6

Insane prices moved back to March 2006 registration  :)

The post '06 tax rates are crazy, I thought about a police spec 2.8 V6 turbo Vectra manual saloon, and that was in the £400 tax band  :D

On paper, £200 is not a massive amount of money, but it makes things much more difficult, £400 is a lot to spend in a single month to keep a car on the road  :(

Especially as you are not spending it on the car just giving it to the government to waste.

Yes, correct, to waste on wars we cannot possibly win, it pisses me off.

No difference at all, all 3.2's are in the post sept 2001 tax band, and Omega production ceased in 2003 so you can't get a 2006 or later one.

All Omegas fall into two prices. No matter what engine you have.

Pre 1st March 2001 registered paid 'older' prices which is about £190 for the year.

Post 1st March 2001, its £215, again if you drive a 2.2 DTi or 3.2, no difference in tax.
