Boys! Boys!
Once more a thread on a very interesting subject ("UKIP: deeply embarrassing") has degenerated into the trading of personal insults because of an inability to accept another persons point of view!!

Anyway;
You have to face the fact that we all live in a democratic capitalist system! No doubt about that! It is what we have, and the vast majority of people enjoy the benifits it brings, whilst recogonising it's faults, bankers
et al!
If anyone feels they want the system to change then start a political campaign, spelling out your 'new age' policies and stand for election. See how far you get.
Failing that move to a country with an alternative system, like the USSR - oh, sorry that one collasped; try China - ah, they are becoming more capitalist by the day, but you will be paid £1 a day if you are lucky for your work; then you could try Cuba - ah, again a system that is finding it difficult to feed its desperately poor population, and is resorting to market economy tactics! Looks like the choices are running out!
So as Churchill once stated:
"No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed , it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."
Speech,
Hansard 11th November 1947, col 206.
It can only be added, based on form to date, that capitalism is an integral part of this democracy, and until a successful alternative system is found will remain so!
