Had a P6 3500S it would spin the rears in 2nd on a dry road.

Then bought a 5 speed 3500SD1-wouldn't pull Granny off the p!!! pot.

Wish I'd kept them both though.

That's very surprizing, they're supposed to be quicker & my SD1's where all quicker than the P6 V8.

My second car was a 1966 P6 2000SC, light blue & with beige leather 8-) 8-) I never knew what speed i was doing, because the speedo would bounce at + or - 5mph
I wouldn't like to go through any Speed Cameras with it
A few years later I had a 1977 2.2TC in Maroon & beige velour, i had the spare wheel placed on the boot to gain boot space
Then i had a my first 3.5 Auto 8-) 8-) 8-) & at only 19 years old. Try that nowadays Progressed to SD1's after that & i had many  8-) 8-) 8-)

SD1's came out a little earlier, i've seen an N reg & a few P regs

....I think the models overlapped for a year or two Pete ...... ....I liked the manual P6 3500S...

They had different stainless wheel trims to the auto

The trims are used on VW Camper Poofter Vans by some folk
