Global Warming - New evidence
« on: 06 March 2010, 13:29:07 »

For us that believe global climate change is very real, but are not sure of the true causes the following by the Met office makes interesting reading.

No doubt the sceptics will still be unconvinced about the whole issue, but I for one respect this new announcement as I certainly have noted a continual stream of 'evidence' that the environment has rapidly (in the context of the world events time line) changed around the globe.

Make of it what you will. ;) ;)

Nobody doubts climate change.....billions of years of evidence supports its existance....but, the current statements thats its totaly to do with CO2 levels are in my opinion far fetched.

The words they use e.g. 'evidence' are poorly chosen, they can do nothing more than 'infer' that there is a link.  :y

Where did the new evidence come from? In my opinion the Met office can only be using the same fudged data that East Anglia Uni and the IPCC have been using.  :-/

dinosaurs, ice ages, wooly mamaths, tectonic activity, all naturaly occured.  CO2 is a problem ,but got to say, i think thats due to cars and lack of trees, but, when there where mainly trees everywhere, we also had ice ages, so treat the earth as well as you can while you're here and hope nothing bad does happen in our time.

Its a debate that will only ever end with a look back on our time now from the future.

"It says the Earth is changing rapidly, probably because of greenhouse gases.

In 2007 the IPCC's report concluded that there was "unequivocal" evidence that the Earth was warming and it was likely that it was due to burning of fossil fuels"

I do believe in natural climate change, it would also seem from the clip above that the 'experts' are still not really sure.

By al means do the science to prove it for sure, but this half arsed approach of tax us and make us pay for wind mills etc. with no absolute proof is what annoys people, well me anyway.  >:(
