Oh aye butt - you're not kidding mate!

We still had a sizeable number of the later PD2 model in service when I was an apprentice.

These were actually PD2As with the 'St Helens' glass-fibre fronts, and the later 0.600 9.8 litre engines. Guess who got given the task of doing all the engine-bay jobbies?
 :-[

Much preferred the AEC Regent Vs that we ran - much easier to get at things generally.
 :y

They tell me that this is a rare old beast these days, its just been painted in Leicester City Transport colours
Yes indeed Mark, no doubt about it's rarity.
And in LCT cream/maroon too? D'ya know if it was brush-painted?

It was spray painted.....so not truely authentic but it was done for free by a big Volvo outfit in loughborough

What did you marinate it in? Reminds me of Hugh Fearlney Whittingstall cooking fish on his Landrover manifold,
Place (not plaice) fish in tin foil add oil, lemon juice, seasoning & whatever herbs & cook @ 30 mph for 45 mins!!!! :D  Priceless!!
