Of fitting equipment that may one day make bits fall off your car.

..So you can easily impress schoolgirls, obviously. :P

I have to admit, if my car had '70's style wood-effect vinyl down the side, my last priority would be I.C.E.  ;D

In the 80's I bought some of the Pioneer component gear, 2 x Subs, 2 x tweeters, headunit, small and large amps and an amp balance unit.

All fitted in a sports hatch cavalier.  I thought it was loud inside untill I played it with the sports hatch open at work one saturday afternoon.  All the sound was directed though the glass and was lost inside the car, one I fitted the angled spacer it made a hell of a difference.

Fantastic base, could feel the accelerator pedal beat to the music at 100mph

No distorsion at all on full bass and full power, sounded a lot better then than half of the shite I hear driveing arround these days.

My system does that! The area around the rear number plate vibrates really annoyingly. When I get a bit of good weather, that will be sorted. See how the funds go this year but may upgrade my speakers. So in answer to the question....there is every point....if you like that sort of bass that gives you breathing difficulties! ;D :o 8-) :y
