I am a Non Dom - should I be ashamed?
« on: 11 March 2010, 16:31:11 »

I do not cook, clean, iron, or do washing , I do not go shopping - I hate Tesco and M &S and always refuse to go when requested.

Others are able to do all of the above for me - and I think they secretly enjoy it as well.

I am definitely Non DOMesticated.

However, my wife is away in Cornwall  looking after her parents - I have a few shirts left - local laundry service is attractive and meals at local pub have been successful. I will survive.

Funny you should say tat Tunnie... Whenever we turned up at the local pub for dinner (before our friends gave it up and moved away), they used to ask what "I" was cooking (by proxy) for dinner ::) ::)

Now Mr Si, the owner of the local Chinese Take Away, says the same  :-[ ;D

Trouble is, I can actually cook but just can't be arsed ::) ::)

I know what you mean. Unless it involves some mild pyromania followed by sitting out in the garden with a beer, watching the smoke gently rise from a bed of charcoal. Oh, and no washing up. ;D

I have now managed to subcontract even the cooking ( or should that read cremation) in the garden to one of the kids while I sit there and 'direct' with glass of wine and beer in hand ( well one glass of each)- so when it all goes black and burnt - " wasn't My Fault" ::)

I've now found out where the kettle is in Mrs Sethsmate's domain.

Not sure how to use it yet though  ;D ;D ;D ;D

All wrong, my friend. Try carb cleaner instead of firelighters, works wonders.  But *REALLY* careful if using carb cleaner on a naked flame though, assuming you value your arm hair and eyebrows.

If you aren't man enough, petrol works almost as well :y

OK - she is now on way back from Cornwall by train.

What have I bought in last 2 weeks she has been away:

1 - 2 pint bottle of milk
Paid for 6 shirts to be ironed.

No spending at Marks, Waitrose or Tesco - hundreds of pounds saved against usual leakage on weekly basis.

A few bits out of freezer - I sense a new regime going forward - stop shopping for the sake of it!! Not sure this will last for long though.
