£80 to transfer from one car to another car. £105 to transfer it to a retention certificate for 12 months  :y.

So the traders are stinging customers for a years retention in the deal as well then.   :-/

In fact this is what the pi55.

We are not allowed to alter our plates by law, so the P 155 OFF should not be of concern to them, as it is just another number plate, but yet they blatenly flout the rules in an attempt to make money by altering the configuration of a plate to sell it.

Does this alone not break any rules on false advertising.

I am sure I read somewhere that a man had been charged with altering the position on his number plates and had been fined by magistrates, and appealed to the Crown Court and the Judge in his appeal stated that the DVLA KNEW when they sold the plates that they were going to be altered, and he allowed the appeal, and asked the DVLA to look at the way they sell these plates.
I read that about 4 years ago, dunno if the DVLA appealed that, but the Judge was correct in my opinion.
