Do remember reading though, that the split screen ones are ultra rare.

SWMBO is a Beetle nut so follows a V-Dub forum. There was a 24 window splitty bus (ultra rare) sold on there for £50,000 after a fire had gutted it, insurance valued it at £150,000 before the fire! :o

Ahhh Dick Shovit .... just up the road from here ...  :)

Do you know he started off in a converted stables in Wroughton doing basic tuning and restoration ... now has franchises for bmw, ferrari, lamborghini, maserati !!!!  not bad progress in 40 years .. :)
