Used to have a saloon until I pranged it and wrote it off.  Once I had decided that another Omega was the only way to go I wanted an estate as would need the space for the family on holidays etc.

Always got caught out on the saloon with the tray under the parcel shelf that held the electronics, always restricted how much I could cram in.  Never a problem in the estate.

Estate if you want it, we have one, they are just as costly to maintain, and as unreliable as a saloon..... :D :D :D

Are you getting rid (selling)of your estate Vamps?

We should do, but it is in lovely condition and in full working order, currently in daily use. This or a Galant Saloon must go, swmbo wants to keep the Galant cos it is a lot faster, but starting to cost money now :( Our local independant has offered to buy it and he call the Omega a 'Star of a Car' he does all the work on our cars and has done for many years... :y

We got the estate simply for the pooch in the rear.  Since then, its carried a fair amount of kit and did so really well.  As a 3.2 it gives versatility and ooomph when needed.  Also reckon it handles as well as, if not sometimes better than, a saloon.

Just ask the fella in the (wannagofaster) Scoobie that didn't know what the various wheels and pedals are for in his car when on the local twisties and trying to climb over the rear of said estate.

.....erse........   ;D

Yup, me and the hound in the back.  And Pete and his toupe some distance behind in my mirrors....   ;)

Also, showed TB howtoo change the direction an Omega could point in whilst at speed with the minimum waste of time....    ;D

I got my estate because it was £350.I know I am cheap but it does the job of lugging me around and sometimes it drags the caravan too.

Or the PA system & instruments. I used to drive Volvo V70s but the Omega has considerably more space in it, the only problem being that the load floor is not flat. The problem will be what to replace it with once it finally dies
