Photo Hosting
« on: 24 March 2010, 17:35:48 »

I thought that it might be a good idea to have a Photobucket thingy of my own.

Added my details as requested, and guess what? - up popped a reminder telling me that before I proceed further, I'm entering an insecure site.

Then I thought about an Imageshack jobbie, but similarly decided against it too.

Any guidance for this novice, anyone?

If its just for adding photo's to post into forums I'd just go with Photobucket, just make sure you keep your albums private.

i use drop box, much easier, puts an icon in the tray or in the dock on mac, double click that, anything in the public folder becomes viewable online, just right, click, go to dropbox menu, and copy public url.

Just tried again to join Photobucket.

Will not accept my email address, username or password.
Seems like a lot of hassle to work with anyway.
Sod it, probably run by the same numpties that run Paypal.

Just thought that it would be a good idea to save hassling you all the time, and be independent.

However, Photobucket doesn't seem to want my contributions (as per my post).

Imageshack's the same, so bo**ocks to 'em. >:(

you may get webspace from your ISP
I part protected mine by adding a small html script on the front page
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/matthew.overment/
its just a case of using an ftp program to upload them, but for some that may be a bit too much.
I also use flickr as well :y
